Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act and other Insolvency Law Amendments to come into force on September 18, 2009.

The federal government has announced that the balance of the amendments to the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act and the Companies’ Creditors Arrangement Act will come into force on September 18, 2009.  As many of you are aware, the changes to the legislation had been approved by Parliament however, most of those changes had not been implemented.   The actual changes to the Insolvency Statutes will be outlined in a newsletter shortly.
