The latest figures from Statistics Canada show that insolvencies in Canada in July are down 1.6 percent from the previous month. However, year-on-year figure show that insolvencies are up 4.1 percent compared to July 2014. As well, for the 12–month period ending July 31, 2015, the total number of insolvencies increased by 1.9 percent compared with the 12–month period ending July 31, 2014.
