David is a Licensed Insolvency Trustee and a Chartered Insolvency and Restructuring Professional (“CIRP”). He has practiced exclusively in insolvency related matters since 1983 and received his Trustees license in 1995. He has been involved in numerous personal and corporate insolvency matters in a variety of industries. In addition, he has worked with lenders and debtors and has advised companies in financial difficulty. In recent years he has focused on helping individuals facing financial difficulty.
David has given numerous presentations and lectures to various groups on a wide range of insolvency topics. These groups include professional bodies, financial institutions and business associations. David has also been a presenter at the Insolvency Tutorial held each year for Trustee candidates, the Annual Review on Insolvency Law Conference and at the Continuing Education Forum. He has also authored numerous papers including the Role of the Trustee in Personal Insolvency Matters and Unintended Consequences of the Bankruptcy & Insolvency Act Amendments that have been published by Carswell as well as Collections and Landlord and Tenant issues in an insolvency context.
David is the founding partner of Boale, Wood & Company Ltd., an insolvency boutique with offices in Vancouver and Surrey and also provides services the Yukon Territory.
