The latest numbers from the office of the Superintendent of Bankruptcy Canada shows a 2.9 percent decrease in the total number of insolvencies in Canada in October 2016. Bankruptcies are down 1.6 percent and proposals decreased by 4.2 percent.
Compared to a year earlier, insolvencies are down 2.7 percent.
Other stats: For the 12 month period ending October 31, 2016, the total number of insolvencies increased by 4.1 percent compared with the 12-month period ending October 31, 2015.
