The latest numbers from the office of the Superintendent of Bankruptcy Canada shows a 5.1 percent decrease in the total number of insolvencies in Canada in November 2016 compared to the previous month. Bankruptcies are up 3.5 percent and proposals increased by 6.8 percent.
Compared to a year earlier, insolvencies are up 8.0 percent.
Other stats: For the 12 month period ending November 30, 2016, the total number of insolvencies increased by 4.2 percent compared with the 12-month period ending November 30, 2015.
